Penny Coffee Table

This is my final project for my 3D studio class.  What I made was a mosaic coffee table out of pennies.  I first cleaned each penny and glued all of them down with super glue.  Next I poured epoxy on top of the pennies to give the table a clean finished look.  I had to let it cure itself for a couple of days.  I am very happy with the way the table turned out and it will look great in my living room!

Owl

This piece was a project for my studio class.  What I did was I carved plaster to make an owl.  It took about a week and a half.  I do not like working with plaster because it is very messy.  If I would've had more time to work on this piece it probably would look a lot smother and more rounded.  I liked trying a new media to work with but not something I would use again in the future.

Butterflies

This is a molding project that I did in class.  What I did was I took alginate to make a mold out of my hand then I took plaster and filled the mold up to make the mold of my hand.  Then I coated it with silver spray paint and then glued the butterflies to the hand.  This piece has meaning to it and I am happy with how it turned out.

Realistic Hand

This is a clay project that I did in class.  The assignment was to make a realistic hand out of clay.  I feel that my hand is pretty realistic and I am please with the way it turned out.

Pineapple

This is my first project that I did in class.  It's a pineapple made out of wire. This is Deffinatley not a type media that I like to work with but I like the way it turned out.

Coil Vase

This is an image of a three in one vase that I made out of clay using the coil technique.  When I made this object I was trying to make it look like the Sketchup that I did before.  I like the way that it turned out and I plan to glaze it after its done being fired.

Computer Modeling Project

This is my object that I want to build out of clay.  This object is going to be three vases in one.  I plan to make this out of clay coils.  Hopefully the vase will end up looking similar to this Sketchup.
